Since moving last November, I’ve found that one of the things I struggle with the most is my feeling of being overwhelmed and unorganized. Since starting the peaceful parenting challenge, I’ve been working hard on making changes in our world. I don’t believe that this challenge is just getting through each week, but it’s about making lasting changes to our everyday lives. A few weeks ago, as part of the challenge, I posted that I would have a CLEAN and ORGANIZED desk area by September 4th… and here we are!
I had planned on posting a photo of what my desk looked like before I started to organize, but Eric’s also been cleaning up and organizing his space and in doing so decided that I didn’t need a photo of my messy desk and deleted it! So today, it’ll just be about what it looks like now!
My little pile of daily to-dos in the corner of my desk, but otherwise everything is filed and has a place. The surface is clean, so that I can take out one task at a time, complete it and file it.
Still need a few more images for the wall, but it’s getting there!
I guess you could say that I’m learning to be more patient with myself and that sometimes, the best thing to do is stop trying to work in chaos. That taking the time to organize the chaos will make you feel so much better and make every day tasks easier!
Next up on the hit list… my “craft room”! This time, I’ll make sure to have a before and after for you and I’m hoping to have it completed by October 30th. I’m giving myself lots of time, because it also needs to be painted and shelving needs to be built!
