While we were at the beach, we had our good friends, Matt and Jocelyn stopped by for a visit with their sweet little girl, Harriet. Since we were all set up to do photos of Ella, we decided that we’d also do some of little Harriet!
I love to photograph babies and children, but when I get to photograph the children of my friends, it’s even more special. It’s the subtle reminder that we’ve grown up. That we’re no longer kids, and that this is okay. That we’re so lucky to share this time as parents together. Our children are a very special gift that we’ve been given, and capturing them, in all their “glory” is so very important!
Matt and Jocelyn, thank you for allowing me to capture these images of your sweet little girl, it was so much fun. Now, I just wish you lived closer so we could do it more often!!
To get Ella to do her portraits, I may have had to bribe her with some photos of her and Harriet together. I’m so glad I did, because I just love this image!!
I LOVE this expression. It’s like she’s looking at me and saying, “Really, that’s suppose to make me smile?”
But…then it did and it was so worth it!
A quick outfit change and a little more showing off of her new sitting skills 🙂 Such a little sweetheart!
