A few recommendations

Eric and I started our Christmas shopping last night. A friend of mine had recommended Raspberry Kids as a great website for kids stuff. She was right. We were able to cross a couple of the kids off our list.

So that recommendation inspired me to make a few recommendations too 🙂 I’m sharing some of my favourite shops and sites with you, just because if we can all work to support small business, I think it makes for a stong economy!

I LOVE silver jewlery, and two of my favourite websites are Taraxca Silver and Indulgent Designs. Whenever we travel to the island, I always take a couple of moments at the Taraxca Silver Shop, it’s a guilty pleasure. I just found Indulgent Designs because Laura, from one of our recent sessions is the owner. There are a couple of things on my wish list 🙂

For the creative types on your list, I love these sites. For amigurumi patterns, there’s Delicious Crochet or for check out this site for some great knitting tips and patterns.

You may remember this cutie from our post a while ago, he’s one of the delicious crochet patterns. They really do have some seriously cute patterns…and you still have time to create one for that special kid (big or small!) on your list.

I have a couple of yarn shops that I also love. There’s Three Bags Full, Wool and Wicker, and Urban Yarns. All have a wide variety of yarns, great for beginners or advanced knitters and crocheters!

I took a great Chocolate making class at Cocoa Nymph. I had a lot of fun and she makes some amazingly delicious chocolate goodies using fresh, local ingredients.

Well I think I’ve rambled on long enough for one post. Do you have favourite sites or businesses that you love? Please share in the comment section below, as I love to check out new things!

Happy Wednesday!
