Today has been a bittersweet day. Today was Ella’s last full day of Kindergarten. The class put on a wonderful celebration this afternoon with the kids singing a couple of songs and then telling us what they would like to be when they grow up. (Ella said she wants to be a mom and photographer 🙂 ) After the celebration, I was able to present her teacher with the class gift that we’d prepared.
The idea came to me a few weeks ago and it’s been a lot of work, but it was so worth it to see how much it is loved!
The front cover…
Our letter of thanks…
I photographed each child and a piece of their artwork and then created the album. Each child had their own “spread” in the album and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. I wish I could show you the whole album, but I didn’t ask for permission to share the other images… so this gives you a little peek at it!
After the celebration today, Ella was so excited to show us around…. especially the star chart!
Ella and her teacher, Mrs. Williams!
Kindergarten is a big step. It’s the start of the learning process and I truly believe that having a teacher who instills a love of learning into the kids is so important. Ella was lucky enough to have this. Mrs. Williams, thank you. Thank you for everything you did for all of the kids this year. Thank you for making them feel special. Thank you for teaching and guiding and loving them. Ella is a little sad to be leaving your class and I know she will always carry of piece of it in her heart. You’ve made her first year at school so very special. Thank you.
