On Sunday, we held our first Speedlight Intensive, and it’s taken me the last 24+ hours to process the whole experience. To be honest, I’m not really even sure it’s fully processed yet. When Eric and I had packed up and were heading home, he said, “So, what did you think?” and I couldn’t answer the question. I felt relief, mixed with happiness and sadness. I had been so nervous on our way down. I had a bad case of the “what if’s” running through my head. You know, the what if no one shows up?, what if no one learns anything? etc…. Fortunately, all 6 of our participants showed up, as did our amazing models. Eric is an amazing instructor and between the two of us, I think that everyone walked away with at least a couple of new tricks and “ah ha moments”.
My only regret from the day was that we didn’t take a group shot. I had every intention when we planned the class and we’d even discussed it on the way… but at the end of the class, we both were tired and it got missed 🙁 Next time, I think we’ll do it at the start of the day instead of the end!
A great BIG THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to our “students”, I sincerely hope you had a great time, even if moments of the day were overwhelming. Our day wouldn’t have been a success without you there. Thank you to our models, we are so grateful for your time. And last but not least, our sponsors: Beau Photo, Image Explorations, and WHCC, we appreciate your support. (oh, and I should also say thank you to the weather for holding off on the major rain storm until after we were finished!)
Here are a couple of “behind the scenes” photos of our day.
