Eric took our tree down the other night. I have to admit, I was a little sad. For me, Christmas time is all about family. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not very good about taking “down time”. I’m constantly doing something, but I try really hard on Christmas day to just be. To savour the moments. To cherish time.
That said, the nice thing about Christmas time is the photographs that you’ve taken. The memories that you’ve preserved. The biggest question is what to do with them? Sure, you post them to facebook and flip through them on your computer… but do you have a backup? Do you have prints somewhere that you can enjoy them?
Here are a few ideas of what you can do with your Christmas photos.
* Go to a website like Shutterfly or Photobook Canada and create an album.
* Print one or two of your favourites and put them in frames.
* Make one or two into ornaments for your tree next year.
* Put together a slide show of your images, then sit down with the kids and have a “movie”, giggling at the crazy Christmas morning bed head 🙂 Make it a big deal event and even pull out the popcorn! Then next year, add to it. So by the time your kids are grown, you have an amazing record of their Christmases growing up!
Here are a couple of my favourite images from Christmas Eve.

What are your plans for your Christmas photographs? If you have any great ideas, I’d love for you to share them!
Keep smiling 🙂
