I’ll admit it, I’m a list writer. I think I sometimes drive Eric a little crazy, as I usually have 3 or 4 lists of things to do going at one time. Right now, I have a list of “Things to do before the baby arrives.” Basically, it consists of a few things that really need to be done and a lot of things that I just want to finish. I work better under deadlines. I’m just more focused. The problem is, that each time I cross one thing off this list, I come up with three more things to add, so it never gets any shorter. Time, however, is not on my side. There are only so many hours in a day and there are only so many days left until the baby comes! I know that my list will likely not be completed before baby arrives, but in the meantime, I’m enjoying crossing off the things that I can.
This sweater, I started when I was pregnant with Ella. Actually, I started it about 6 days after she was due. Needless to say, it didn’t get finished. Until now. While on our road trip, I did a lot of knitting. This was one of the projects that I was determined to finish.
This blanket is from the same pattern that I used for the sweater. It was something that I decided would be nice to do a couple of months ago, so I bought some yarn for it. (Anyone who knows Eric and I, also knows that we do not need to buy any more yarn, we have way too much!) It’s been sitting in the bag, waiting for some attention since then. Again, our road trip and family time at Kye Bay proved to be perfect times to tackle this project. I finished it up the other night and enjoyed crossing it off my list 🙂
