I truly believe that one of the best ways to stay current and fresh in an ever changing industry is education. Every summer, Eric and I attend Image Explorations (or IE as most people call it). It’s a week to get lost in amongst our peers. A week to learn. A week to share. A week to grow. And it is fabulous. (In fact, it’s the reason Eric and I met, but that’s a totally different story!)
This year, I will be taking a class by Greg and Lesa Daniel and I’m really excited about it. When Ella was just 5 weeks old, we had a family portrait done by Greg at IE. Just listening to him teach that small section of class was incredible.
I always come home from IE completely inspired and filled with new ideas. I think the hardest part of this coming week (we leave tomorrow!) is that Ella will be staying with my parents in Vancouver! I know that I’m just a ferry ride away, but this will be the longest I’ve ever been away from her. (The second longest, being just this past weekend for two days while we were at Camp Goodtimes!) I’m sure she’ll do just fine… I’m just not so sure about me!
I will be trying to keep on top of the blog while I’m at the conference and uploading some of the fun images that we’re creating, but it may be a little sporadic for the next week 🙂
And just because I can’t have a post without some form of a photo, I’m reposting our two current mini session dates! August 7th in Vancouver and August 13th in Comox. Please call if you need more details!
Happy Friday and have a fabulous weekend!
