Well… I think the saying goes, better late than never, right? Ella turned 6 in June. We celebrated on the day and were very grateful for the amazing weather we had. With the school year coming to an end and lots of projects on the go, Ella’s 6 year portraits got put on the back burner. Then at the end of July, we went on a family camping trip and one night everything fell into place, great locations, amazing light, happy kid… so we took the opportunity to capture her portraits… and now it’s almost the end of August and I’m finally sharing them with you!!
The first spot was this really cool old log cabin we found close to our campsite.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE her smile!
My little rock hunter, searching for treasures!
She looks so grown up here. It’s hard to believe she’s only 6!
Walking back to the campsite with her dad and sister.
My sweet, sweet big girl.
Smiles like this one are a bit rare with Ella when she’s in front of the camera. It usually takes some coaxing… and possibly some tickling to make it happen, but when she does, it lights up a room!
My dear sweet Ella. I couldn’t be prouder of you if I tried. Kindergarten was a challenge for you, but you met every day with a smile on your face and a willingness to keep going. You worked hard to reach the goals you set for yourself, made friends and learned to read. You never cease to amaze me with your determination and work ethic. You are truly an amazing little girl. Thank you for being such a great big sister to Tehya and for reminding me every day how lucky I am to be your mom. Love you so much!
