Family Portraits at Thetis Lake

I love when we get to see families again! Two years ago we photographed Steve and Donna’s family for their Christmas cards. The weather was not kind to us. We’d had great luck earlier in the day and we managed to get some portraits of the kids outside in their gorgeous back yard, but before we even got close to finishing, the rain started up again and the dark clouds took away all of our natural light. We hauled out our studio strobes and while our equipment got wet, we did our best to keep them dry.

This year, we met at Thetis Lake Park. The weather was perfect, the fall colours, while almost gone, provided a great backdrop for the session. This year, I was happy that we didn’t have to worry about keeping anyone dry!

Steve and Donna, thank you for trusting us with your family portraits again. We are always honoured when we’re asked to photograph a family, but to be trusted again, just lets us know how happy you really were!

Rocks, brilliant yellows and a happy family. What more could you ask for?

I love Zack’s expression… trying so hard not to laugh at my ridiculously cheesy jokes!

Eva’s sweet smile hides her mischevious nature well 🙂

A session is never quite complete without an image of Mom & Dad alone!

Happy Thursday!
