Over the weekend, Eric went and photographed some DELICIOUS food for the Fat Duck Mobile Eatery. I’ve known Tavis, the chef, for a long time. He’s amazing at what he does and I wasn’t at all surprised by how good these sandwiches are… and was so grateful that Eric brought them home for me to sample.
You can find the truck in the 600 block of Hamilton. The best way to find out when they’ll be there is to like their page on Facebook. They’re great about updating it with times and dates!
This is the Duck Confit “Philly” Style sandwich. So incredibly tasty! Honestly, this is the first time I’ve eaten duck and it melts in your mouth. Even Ella and Tehya liked it 🙂
Pork Belly with avocado/cucumber relish and chipotle mayo. I don’t do spicy well, but this was so worth it!
Beef tongue & cheek “bahn mi” with hoisin/soy glaze, pickled daikon and carrots. Let me just tell you, I wasn’t so sure about eating this sandwich because of the ingredients… but I’m so glad that I did. It was so yummy. The beef is incredibly tender and has a good balance with the veggies.
If you’re interested, they also do catering, special events and late night wedding snacks 🙂 Make sure to stop by and say hi!!
