One thing that I’ve missed since becoming a parent is the ability to really lose myself in a book. I’ve put a LOT of other demands on my time, that carving out some “me time” to read has been hard. I get up early, I work late, I juggle too much… but on Satruday, we had some errands to run and one of the stops was Costco. As we were walking past the book section, I glanced over and saw The Rosie Project.
I’d heard so many great reviews about the book, that on a whim, I decided that I would pick it up. I’m so glad that I did. I’ve spent the last few days reading in every spare moment that I could find. I even went to bed at 9:30 last night, so that I could read… and I finished the book at about 11. I LOVED it! I found myself completely involved in the story and really rooting for the main character, Don Tillman, in hopes he could figure out how to be a little less odd. I finished the book with a smile on my face. If you have a chance, I definitely recommend this book. So worth it to carve out the time. If you’ve already read it, I would love to know what you think, or if you have other good reads, please share!
