Eric left yesterday with the girls to go visit his family in Kye Bay. I’ll be joining them in a few days, but in the meantime, I have some time for me, kid free!
Last night, I posted this photo (from my iPod!) to Facebook with the caption: “Sitting on my deck, enjoying some fresh air, while I write out a game plan for my few days without kids!”
One of my friends commented to “Just Be” (thanks C!), which got me to thinking. I have always been someone who pushes herself. I work hard and I run on very little sleep. On one hand, I know this is not good for me, but on the other, I can’t seem to stop. There is so much I want to accomplish in my life, and 24 hours in a day don’t seem like enough.
So I revisited my game plan and set one big goal.
Since our move, I’ve not really felt on top of things. There’s so much more to clean and maintain. So my big goal for this week… minimize the chaos. I’m hoping that by the time I leave for some downtime at the beach, I’ll be feeling a little more in control of things here. A little more balanced and at peace!
Happy Monday!
p.s. The 10 week Parenting Challenge starts today! Are you “coming”?
