Just Breathe

Ever have one of THOSE days when you feel like your desk looks like this?


That’s pretty much what I’ve felt like since we moved at the end of November. Between unpacking, Christmas, painting the house, working and raising two kids, I often feel like I’m falling behind on so many tasks. There are little piles of things to do everywhere I look. There are still a few boxes to be unpacked. There’s stuff that still needs to find a home. There’s grand ideas of fun things to do for the kids playroom… that are still sitting on the “sewing room” floor. There are lists of to do lists. At times, it seems never ending!

So, why am I sharing this with you? Because the other day a friend said to me, how are you so perfect, how do you manage all of this? The truth, I work crazy hours, I don’t watch T.V. and I often feel like I’m just hanging on. I am FAR from perfect. I am just a mom, who happens to have run her own business before she had kids, so isn’t willing to give it up and who happens to like to do too many things. So when I get to the point where I feel like I’m drowning, I remind myself to Just Breathe. I will get through it. Things will get done. Even if it’s not “perfect”. If this helps even one mom, then that makes me happy 🙂
