Last week, we headed up to Kye Bay in Comox for some family time. When Eric’s grandpa passed away a few years ago, he left his property to his children. They now share the summer. Each sibling and their families get 2 weeks, which can be spent together or separately. It’s an amazing feat of organization to sort out which weeks work for people, but in the end it all works out. I think it’s an amazing legacy for the family. After all, who wouldn’t want to spend two weeks of the summer at beach front property?
Here are a few of my favourite images from our time.
This was the sunset our first night up… taken from the front yard. Not a bad view!
Ella did a LOT of new things over the weekend. She drove the boat, went kayaking and skim boarding (with a little help from Eric.) She also spent a lot of time digging in the sand.
Tehya, on the other hand, spent a lot of time napping. Which meant, I spent a lot of time working on projects inside. This was okay with me, as I had a couple of deadlines to meet! When we did venture down to the beach, she wasn’t so keen on the sand!
Because of all the windows, the light inside the house is gorgeous. Love this one of Tehya!
We also did a few family photos outside… and again, love this one 🙂
Have a great weekend!
