As I’m writing this post, I’m feeling a tad guilty… it’s taken me a month and a half to post these images for you… This session took place at the end of May when sweet little Jacob was just 8 days old. Then it took a couple of weeks to find the time to show the images to Verena and Dan… as I believe that my clients should always be the first to see their images! Then we went away… and now, it’s time to catch up!
Jacob was an absolute dream to photograph. He slept almost the whole time and didn’t seem at all phased when he was passed around from person to person. We started outside with a quick family photo, and I’m so glad I managed to get Elijah in it… he just didn’t want to stay still!
I also managed to get this adorable image of brotherly love 🙂
Then I was thrilled to find out that Verena’s grandparents were stopping by for a visit. They will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this summer, and they were thrilled to meet the latest addition to this very large family! (I can’t remember the exact numbers, but I believe they had 8 children… which has then meant about 20 grandchildren and they are up to about 16 great grand children, with another 5 due this year… or something like that!)
Likely one of my favourite images from the day!
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you’ll know that I LOVE baby feet… don’t know why but they’re just so cute!
Another one of my favourite images. Love his sweet little face.
Verena and Dan, thank you for allowing me the privilege of documenting your entire journey from a family of 3 to a family of 4. It was an honour to do some maternity photos for you, and to document Jacob’s arrival… and now these! I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to post these for you, but I hope you still enjoy sharing them! I’m sure he’s changed so much in the last several weeks, that it’s a treat to look back and remember just how tiny he was! Thank you again, I so appreciate your trust.
Happy Tuesday 🙂
