I’ve always been a big kid at heart. Long before I had kids, I bought a bunch of my favourite Robert Munsch books. I would flip through them every once in a while, just because I could. The stories were fun and always brought a smile to my face.
Both Eric and I love to read. (This serves us well, seeing as we don’t own a TV!) Ella seems to have inherited this trait from us. She loves books. Some mornings she’ll wake up and ask to have a story in bed before she starts her day and it’s always the last thing we do before bed at night.
Last night, Ella chose two Robert Munsch books. Pigs and Love you Forever. I’m not sure if it was because I’m over tired or that it was the first time I’d read the book since becoming a mom, but I got a little teary eyed reading Love you Forever. Our babies are little for such a short period of time. Each day is something new. The truth is that it won’t ever matter how big they get, they will always be our babies and we really do Love them Forever.
