My Family!

Oh my… I can’t tell you how excited I am to be sharing these with you! On Sunday, a good friend and colleague of ours, Don MacGregor, did a portrait session for us. Throughout this week, Don has been sending us sneak peeks of images and all I can say is WOW! I love them.

When we woke up on Sunday morning, it was absolutely pouring rain, so we weren’t sure if the session would happen or not. Then the rain stopped and it looked like we were in the clear. We met at Gold Creek in Golden Ears Park. This place holds special meaning for Eric and I, as it was the spot where we made the decision that we’d move out this way.

I watched the sky on the entire drive up. It was cloudy but it looked like we might get away with a session.

As we were getting set up, it started to sprinkle. Don quickly got us in place, and as the rain started to really fall, he snapped a couple of portraits. I love that you can see the rain falling in the water.

We quickly ducked under the shelter of the trees and waited out the rain. Then the sun came out and we were able to capture a few more images.

This is one of Eric’s favourites…

I loved this moment. Tehya say that Eric and I were holding hands, so she offered up her hand to Ella.

When Ella saw this image, she said “Look, our hands make a heart!” I love her for seeing that.

Don, I can’t thank you enough. Thank you for driving all the way out here to do this for us. This spot means so much to us, and it makes the images just that much more meaningful. Thank you for creating such stunning images. Thank you for making it so easy to be on the other side of the camera. Thank you for the patience you showed our girls. Just THANK YOU. Now… the hard part really comes into play, deciding which one we’re going to put up on our wall!

Happy Friday 🙂
