Play Time

The last few weeks, I’ve been really trying to take the time to play with my girls more. They’ve started saying things about how much I’m working… and it’s true, they hear the words, “In a minute, mommy just needs to finish up some work”, A LOT. It’s one of the “joys” of being a work at home mom. You’re constantly trying to get things done around the needs of your kids and family.

On Saturday, I had a list a mile long of things that needed to be done. I got some of them done in the morning, then I had a class to teach in the afternoon. Eric had taken the girls out to pick up groceries, and just as class was finishing up, he sent me a text to see if I wanted to go for a walk with everyone. I was torn. I still had so much to do… but I really wanted to spend the time with my family… so off on the walk we went.

Eric had brought some of our equipment with us, as he was wanting to try out a technique know as the Brenizer Method. He’d been getting lots of questions from students about the effect, and because he’d never done it before, he didn’t know all the ins and outs of it.

Here are a couple of the images that he captured on Saturday.

His first attempt at the method…

Not at all the method, but too cute not to share!

On Sunday, he wanted to play with it a little more, and Ella was a very willing little model 🙂 Can’t tell at all that she has two photographers as parents!

All in all, a great way to spend some time together this past weekend 🙂

Happy Tuesday!
