Ryan and Hong, Vancouver Engagement session

There’s a comfort that comes when you’ve known someone for 14 years. It’s no longer that “doe in headlights” kinda love but the steady, deep, lasting kinda love. This is definitely what Ryan and Hong have. They are a fun, easygoing couple… not to mention super photogenic! (Although, I’m sure if you were to talk to them, they’d tell you that it was a tiny bit uncomfortable to be photographed!)

We met Ryan and Hong for some pizza on Friday night before heading down to Lonsdale Quay for some sunset photographs. We chatted about their day, the plans that are slowly coming together and the fact that their families had lost hope that they would ever get married. Guess it goes to show that you just never know, people surprise you all the time!

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not much for fashion… but I love Hong’s boots!

Such a beautiful ring!!

Love the light you get just as the sun is setting…

Gotta love Vancouver at night. A perfect backdrop for an amazing couple 🙂

Comfort, pure and simple.

Thank you Ryan and Hong for your time on Friday night. We hope you had as much fun as we did! We’re looking forward to seeing you again in a couple of weeks for your wedding!
