Our photography is all about story telling. We tell stories about the growth of kids, the togetherness of families and about who we are. Today’s tip is all about story telling.
In writing, there are five elements to a good story. They are Plot, Character, Setting, Atmosphere and Style. In photography, we need to have a look at those same five elements.
What are the characters doing, where are they, what are they feeling? See if you can answer that question in these images.
This same principle applies to travel photography as well. Postcards are not able to tell your story, so they are just nice pictures. Here’s an example of a postcard with a story.
