It’s no secret, I LOVE my job and one of the best parts of it, is getting to see the evolution of a family. You may remember Verena and Dan from a session I did last year… and now, they are expecting baby number 2 in just a couple of weeks. It was so much fun to see how their love just seems to grow and to capture this moment in time before their family of 3 becomes a family of 4!
Elijah had absolutely NO INTEREST in having his portrait taken. I mean none. The beach, and throwing stuff in the water was far more fun! So we just went with it 🙂
For those of you who know Richmond well, you’ll know that these images were taken at Garry Point Park and that this is looking back towards Steveston. Verena commented on how much she loves this view, so I decided that it would be a fitting backdrop for this image. I love how happy she looks!
Likely one of my favourite images from the night… the light was perfect and I love how it just highlights the edge of the belly.
This image makes me smile. Elijah is busy doing his thing, digging in the dirt, while mom and dad sneak a kiss.
Gathering more stuff to throw in the water.
I LOVE this image. I think it’s a perfect representation of their family at this moment in time. The busy toddler, the patient parents, and a wee one on the way!
To me, this image just shouts happiness and love.
Verena and Dan, thank you so much for your trust in me to capture this time in your lives. I’m so very honoured, and I hope you love these as much as I do. I know the next couple of weeks will go smoothly for you and I look forward to hearing all about your new arrival, when the time is right 🙂
Happy Friday!
