WOW! JUST WOW! We had a HUGE turnout yesterday for our photos with bunnies event at the Birch Tree. I don’t think I had a moment to breathe from the time we opened the doors at 10am until we were finished just after 1. I woke up this morning and felt like I’d photographed two weddings back to back and my knees are still sore from three hours of kneeling. It was all worth it though, and I’m so grateful for the support.
Speaking of support, I have a lot of thank yous, so here they are!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who donated to Reach at the event yesterday. In total we raised $467!!! I will be delivering it personally in the next couple of days. For those of you wondering, we chose Reach as the charity of choice because we wanted to support a small, local charity.
A BIG THANK YOU to Jane at the Birch Tree for allowing us such a great space to use for the event. I hope you’ll all take a moment to head over to their website and take a look at all the amazing services that are offered for families there. I’ve taken Ella to see Cherise several times and she does amazing work. I’ve also been to see Co for shiatsu and always walk away feeling rejuvenated. If you’re expecting and looking for amazing midwives, I definitely recomend you talk to Jane. She attended the births of both my girls and her support was incredible.
THANK YOU to Norma and Hayley from Gold Fox Acres for bringing us the bunnies… and chicks… and a little goat! They were a big hit, as they were last year. They offer a lot of different services, like birthday parties, petting zoos or farm visits, so give them a call if you’re interested in learning more.
THANK YOU to Brittany and Sarah from the Birch Tree for your help with organizing people and making sure the lines moved efficiently. Also, thank you for doing some face painting Brittany! THANK YOU to Ann for running our craft area. THANK YOU to Chris for helping out where you were needed.
THANK YOU to Evon at Cookievonster for creating such amazing cookies for us. She also worked all night to complete my order early, after I’d made a mistake by giving her the date of my event instead of the pick up date. She is truly an amazing cookie artist!!
Here’s a little peek at some of the images we captured yesterday. As I mentioned on Facebook, if you were one of the families that we photographed yesterday and would like us to post your image to an album on our Facebook page, which you can then tag and use on your profile, just send us an email. If you can include a brief description of your kids, what they were wearing and approximately what time we photographed you, that would be great! We saw so many families yesterday, that even if I did ask their names, they have all blurred together now!
Love her curls, such a little cutie!
He was so EXCITED to see bunnies!
We had so many babies in, it was awesome!
This little one was a little terrified of the bunnies! Poor thing 🙁
Such a happy little girl! (ps. can you spot the chick?)
Not gonna lie, I was super excited that my parents managed to make it out at the end of our event with my girls!
We saved one of the AMAZING cookies for our girls to share. I also wanted a chance to photograph it. This is the process of trying to photograph something with little hands waiting for their treat!
I get it all set up, and Ella stood their waiting “patiently” until I was done. (She was asking every few seconds if she could eat it yet!)
I finally said okay!
